PlacybackException: ERROR (-4,0x80004005) Under Sage Client Randomly
I am getting the error message in the title of the post on random OTA Sage recordings via Sage TV Client playback. This is happening on random OTA recordings, and only seems to affect Sage Software Clients.
Here is what I know: 1. Happened with both the most recent recording of The Big Bang Theory and Grimm. 2. Different networks, different OTA tuners. I think NBC and CBS are both 1080i. 3. The shows WON'T play on a recent Dell Studio laptop or on a desktop using a 4600 series ATI card. Both are Win 7 64-bit. 4. If I go into the directory and take out the actual video file of each show, it won't play under WMP, but will play on Cyberlink Power DVD12. They won't play on VLC player either. WMP & VLC just show black screens and no sound. 5. BOTH recordings play just fine on our HD200, so along with the Cyblerlink playback, I know it's not a freak thing with weather, bad transmitters, tuner issues, etc. 6. I am using Microsoft decoders for the Sage clients. 7. I have no issues with any HD-PVR recordings of my cable shows. 8. Entire Sage system on wired GbE network. No wireless. 9. I live in a dual market and have antennas at both markets. In both of the above cases I immediately tuned in the same show on a different affiliate/tuner and it recorded that one just fine. I can watch both Grimm and The Big Bang Theory that I manually recorded from another affiliate half-way into their showings on any client. 10. Lots of other OTA and HD-PVR stuff records and plays back across all clients just fine. Any thoughts? This is really odd and random. UPDATE - Now extends to 480i secondary channel on ABC affiliate.
