As long as you have a DOCSIS 3.0+ modem.
 I had long ago met the constraints of my DOCSIS 2.x modem that was almost 10 years old. This past winter I finally upgraded to a newer DOCSIS 3.0 Motorola as well as a Gigabit/Wifi router.
