Not a chance from the looks of the device. I guess it could be an extender, but then we'd need a server too.

I am guessing it functions similarly to the HD300, hopefully with Sage (Google TV) software provided for a purpose built media server. We can dream, can't we?

If it acted as an extender is would be the "answered prayer" of most people still around here: a device to replace Sage extenders as they die of old age. If you're here you probably already have a server license (why else would you be here). There's already at least one option for replacing the EPG data if that dies someday. So all you'd need would be to keep your current server (license) operational for as long as possible, until someday way down the road when the software won't function on any remaining computers.

Sadly, it's probably only Google Play store + uPnP + streaming Netflix/Hulu device - just for less than $300 this time.

I don't think that's the actual device, just a stock picture of the old Nexus Q.
