Lineup lost from EPG server

I just got the same thing 2 days ago for "Time Warner Cable - Binghamton". The only listing now is "Time Warner Digital - Binghamton".

Is there anything we can do about this? I Was hoping there would be a message that it has re-appeared.

so, now I seem to be getting this Lineup Dropped message daily for the last couple of weeks...
all my EPG is filled out for the next 11 or 12 days... no missing data... so it must be getting the EPG data from somewhere?

but what is even worse... much much worse... the so called "Intelligent Recording" seems to think I want to watch Teen Mom 3, and Real Desperate Housewives of NJ, and crap like that...
I have never watched that crap, ever... but now, all of a sudden and coincident with the EPG thing, IR seems to have lost its mind...

I've been getting the error daily for over 3 months, but EPG data comes in fine.

There still doesn't seem to be a fix for it.

There's a plug-in called Intelligent Suggestions that lets you see what IR is going to record. I use it to look ahead and proactively not like things. There's also one called Favorite Excluder (Anti-Favorites). It can automatically mark things (using keywords) as watched or not liked. I've used both to keep IR from recording stuff that it's convinced I want to see.

I didn't review all the prior messages here, so apologies if this possible solution has been posted already.

I just got this message for the first time, and for what it's worth, DocDJ's June post led me to head to the Video Source setup and find that the name of my lineup had changed (from Comcast Digital: $MYCITY to Comcast $MYCITY Digital: $MYCITY for some reason).

I selected Add New Source and followed the steps to add the lineup under its new name, and found at the end of it that it simply updated my original lineup with the new name, no muss, no fuss, no having to delete a duplicate lineup.

As I was performing the channel setup, I even found that the selected / unselected channels matched my choices for the original lineup.

I forced a linup update (the old "remove a channel and exit, then add it back and exit" trick), and the new lineup updated with no error message. I'm seeing my expected favorites scheduled, the expected 12 days of programming (up until 10/27, so I don't forget when I check tomorrow. ), and no error on update.

TL;DR: My channel linup name changed, and updating my video source seems to have fixed the problem. YMMV.

I got this same message just tonight for Digital Broadcast as well and see it is happening a lot.

Gonna remove my tuners and see if re-adding them fixes it as well as check the zap2it site to make sure the info is still there and not gone.

I had that happen last night as well. It looks like there was a problem contacting the Sage servers because when I tried to setup the tuner using the same lineup over lunch, I got an error saying that it couldn't contact the server.

Update:

Same problem happened this morning (after running a couple of paranoid manual forced EPG updates yesterday with no problem).

When I went into Setup Video Sources to see if the linup name had changed again, it had not (still Comcast $MYCITY Digital - $MYCITY). However, the first couple of times I entered my ZIP code, I, too, got an error message saying the Sage Server could not be contacted. This also happened once yesterday when I first saw the problem.

However, on the third try the ZIP code worked, I followed the same setup steps that I did yesterday, and the EPG updated as expected.

So yeah - I'm wondering if this isn't some kind of problem with Sage servers.

EPG lineup lost

I had a message, timed at 12:00 AM ADT (Atlantic Canada), stating the channel lineup was lost but it is back completely this AM. I have not had such a message for many months. How long the EPG was unavailable, I don't know, but I did nothing to restore it.

Same message for me. Obviously the Sage EPG servers are a little wonky.

I'm to the point now where I don't even really worry about these messages. I got my first one overnight last night in probably a year or so. Seems like every time it happens, it's just a server glitch and Opus lets us know not to worry.

Opus?......

I noticed the unusual number posts on this earlier today... it was looked into and I was told just now that it should be resolved.

I am still getting the error message that the lineup is lost. Been getting this for the past 3-4 days ever since I changed my lineup to 'Time Warner Digital Rebuild'

Everything working ok on the epg servers? Not getting any lineup errors but have gaps in my epg data showing up for some channels. Also seeing the next update in 0 hours message in the web interface. Tried clearing out the epg entries from the properties file, but still not helping.

I'm having the exact same problem.

Going through and removing the channels seems to fix it, but that's a lot of channels in my case... And I have to remove each one from three lineups. Plus I have a feeling that's just a temporary fix, due to the "Next EPG Update In: 0.00hrs" message from the web.

I take it back. It took a little while, but after I followed the FAQ entry the missing EPG data did download.

I'm showing gaps in some channels as well. Disabling the affected channels from all of the lineups, refreshing the EPG, re-enabling the channels in the lineups and refreshing the EPG again seems to fill them in.

Had the same issue. Followed the FAQ (first paragraph) for the following which resolved my issue:

Quote:
Close down SageTV and the service and open up your Sage.properties file. Try removing all the properties from the that file that have the string 'server_update_id' or 'expanded_until' in them. Now run SageTV again.

If that doesn't work try removing all your sources and then create a new
source, but choose a different provider. Let that update and now go back and
remove that source and choose your original source.

I haven't tried to reset the EPG data via the FAQ thread, but all but about 4 channels has filled in for me as of last night.

I too have had the EPG issues over the past two weeks or so. It surely is amazing how dependent I am on SageTV despite my installation still being standard defintion.....
