Moving wiz.bin and recordings from XP -> Linux
Hi -
I'm just setting up a new Linux server, but I have a question about moving recordings from my current XP Sage server. On my XP rig, I currently have recording paths set with drive letters (e.g.,R:/SpongeBobSquarePants-TentacleVisionIHeartDancing-11676922-0.mpg). On my Linux setup, I'll obviously have different paths set up, including some on a NAS. I followed the instructions in the FAQ to move the wiz.bin and set the advanced_video_file_recovery=true property (http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...10&postcount=6) and then moved a single file to a new directory. When I started Sage on the linux machine, I was able to see all the recording metadata within sage "All Recordings" but the single file i copied over was never picked up, even after letting Sage run for 15min to make sure it was done trying to match files. (I was able to see the recording in "All Recordings" but not play it.) So, my question is this: Do I need to do anything different to make this work? Thanks for any help or hints. Matt |

Check to make sure it doesn't show up in Archived Recordings.

Doesn't seem like they are there.
I do see some of these entries: Code:

Maybe I spoke too soon.
That file that I showed above that failed seems to be missing from my Wiz.bin on the current XP machine - so it's no wonder if couldn't be imported. There were a couple of other files that I tested that *do* work as expected. So, I think that I may be OK to try this procedure with more files. I suppose I would like to find out why this file (and perhaps others) was abandoned from the Wiz.bin. Is there some way to find files that are still on my disks, but aren't listed in the Wiz.bin?
