Problem with More4 "Scandal" recording
Hi all,
Still very much enjoying SageTV on my WHS (v1), however i'm experiencing an odd quirk with my (favorite) recording of Scandal on more4. As my sig, I'm using: DigiGuide, Birtles Grabber, XMLTV Importer for SageTV; for my guide. Recording 'freeview' OTA. The More4 channel works (the tuners tune to it to watch with no problem). I have it set up as a favorite, set to record from "Any" channel. The last two episodes have not recorded properly. They end up being recorded with the title: "To be Announced", with a date a week before the actual recorded date, and a time of 08:00 - 08:00. Although with i play back the recording from 29/9/13, it has a running time of 168 hours (most of which is colour coded as pre and post recording padding). Thursday nights episode (3/10/13) will not play back. i get the following error: "there was an error playing To Be Announced: ERROR (-10): No encoders can tune the selected station" Sage Alert sent me the following emails today, after todays EPG update (at 18:59): Code:
Sun 06/10/2013 18:59 The programming guide information for the scheduled Manual Recording of "Scandal" on More4 at Mon 10/7 2:20 has changed. The new program is "To be Announced". If this is not wanted; you will need to re-schedule your recording Code:
Sun 06/10/2013 19:00 The programming guide information for the scheduled Manual Recording of "To be Announced" on More4 at Mon 10/7 2:20 has changed. The new program is "Timed Record". If this is not wanted; you will need to re-schedule your recording. If i look in the Parallel Recording Schedule, i can see Scandal is set to record. So why have i received these messages from Sage Alert? any clues? I am guessing that tomorrow morning recording will become an odd "To be Announced" recording... only time will tell!! Maybe i should try setting the favorite to not have any padding? Thanks in advance for any ideas.... i'll report back with what actually happened..... mevans

I've seen Manual records do this, never favourites. Weird. Sorry, no help!

This morning I checked to see what had recorded. I actually got two recordings! The favorite with all the programme info etc. and the manual recording, recorded as "to be announced".
I assume that ST had tuned two tuners in to the same channel. I'll check the recording info. It's as though for a moment during the EPG update, Sage paniced and set the recording to manual. What happens when the EPG updates?

Yes, i did get two recordings of the same thing from different tuners.
One manual recording (which shows up in the recordings list as "Timed Record") One favorite recording (which shows up in the recordings list with all of the program information) I guess i'll just keep an eye on it, avoiding the temptation to force a manual record of a favorite! mevans

Did you try deleting the favourite and re-adding?
