Placeshifter on iMac (Intel)

First off - I am not a Mac user - anyone that is has way more patients then I do !!

I'm trying to get Placeshifter 7.1.9 to work on an iMac OS X 10.8.5 (Intel). I get the client to connect to the server, select the program and then.... blank screen.

From what I can tell the version of mplayer that is in 7.1.9 is for the PPC and not Intel. I have spent a couple days trying to find a version of the mplayer compiled for Intel or the newer version mpalyer exteneded working with Sage with no progress.

Anyone else run into / find a solution for this problem or I'm I just doing something wrong?

I was never able to get video playback to work properly on my Mac.

Also I wasn't able to get through the placeshifter setup on a Mac. I had to copy the correct configuration from a working placeshifter install from Windows on the server and modify the MAC address of the file name. That way you can skip the entire setup process and just go straight into the client.

Use place shifter 6.6.2 i have it running on 3 i5 macs of all types... i'm running mavericks 10.9.5... it is connected to a xp server running sagetv 6 solid for over 10 years
