145 right now, but 114 of them are guests. While I expect there are lurkers and new people who heard the news, I have to wonder how many of those are just bots....
But hey, 31 actual members logged on right now is probably more than we had at one time in the past year.

It would be interesting to see the server traffic on sagetv.com for the past couple of weeks -- before and after the "announcement".

Well I know for a day or two after, I was getting lots of "server too busy, try later" errors.

I was also getting that and for once... instead of being frustrated I couldn't sign onto a forum, I was excited as I knew it meant this community was coming to life again!

I had a lot of 'Server too busy' messages this morning. Google probably threw this site on an old VMware server running iSCSI in the basement.

I couldn't get on for about 30 minutes around Noon EDT, probably the same as you.

While there are more users logging in & checking the OS topics lately, the forum slow-down is not being caused by that -- it is from hackers and spammers trying to create new accounts, etc.
If you get "Server too busy" type of messages, go ahead & post about it so it can be checked out. I just banned another IP, but I'm sure they'll be back again. - Andy

Great to see lots of active discussions and even some nascent new functionality being created already.
