PushBullet: Anyone using it?

I've setup PushBullet (basically install the app and plugin for my browser). I primarily did this, since I thought it might be a good way for me to send SageTV notifications (ie, events that happen on the server) to my phone and/desktop. This works ok, but, I'm having an oddity with Android whereby i'll get the pushbullet notice on my phone, but I have to check the app to actually know that I got something. ie, it doesn't show up with the ANdroid notificaions. Is anyone playing with pushbullet and have it working on this phone, in that they are getting actual notifications in the Android notification bar?

Yeah, I have it on my S5, I get the notifications in the notification bar in real time. I have noticed that the Chrome plugin on my laptop tends to store the notifications and then blast them in bunches (sometimes), but the Android app on my S5 seems to work as I'd expect. I especially like it for sending my texts to Chrome and allowing me to respond to texts from Chrome without having to pick up my phone.

You know, a Pushbullet target for SageAlert patch might just be enough for me to pull that git repo out of the proverbial trash and fire up a new build.

As soon as I hit send I regretted it. I won't do another build of SA, not even for this. If you were actually thinking about it, don't bother. Now if you wanted to take ownership of the plugin in the repo and do it, well then I'd be your number 1 installer!

I might be more inclined to do this, IF, I could get pushbullet notifications to show up on my Phone's Notification area... but for me, they just go to the phone, but never show automatically. Works awesome sending my phone's notifications the browser, though.

I'm running a Nexus 5 running 5.1. I'm going to re-install the app and see what happens

Pushbullet has worked great for me.. use it on my Android Phone, Android Tablet, on my Surface (as desktop app) and on my desktop (same as desktop app).

As you said,.. sometimes the Google Cloud Messaging Registration gets fux0erd, and doing reinstalls of the apps help

Great! I know I had to fiddle for awhile to get it going. And I want to add my thanks to you for introducing me to it - seems really great.
