YouTube down again

I'm getting the, "Error: The requested media file was not found on the server," message again on all videos. The last time this occurred, JREkiwi uploaded the "YouTube Fix" plugin that solved the issue.

Anyone else getting this error?

Any one able to update the "YouTube Fix" plugin?

Probably YouTube is dead for SageTV as they retired version 2 of their API. But SageTv is not the only victim - have a look at http://www.eteknix.com/youtube-endin...tvs-smart-tvs/ . Maybee YouTube will be revitalized if SageTV is Open Source and someone is coding the needed changes for version 3 of YouTube API.

Doesn't really need open source, as I believe the youtube integration is built into the UI.

Is it even possible to update SageTV to utilize v3 of YouTube's API? What would it take to do so?

Sage needs to get to the video file and the YouTube APIs do not directly expose that. Sage doesn't use the APIs at all, it does a lot of scraping to get to the video link. The scraping logic needs to be updated and that's very possible in the STV, somebody just has to get around to doing it.

I've had a quick look and it is using the web API interface to do searches etc, but it also uses the RSS feeds that disappeared when API V2 stopped working. Probably still only needs an STV change to migrate it to using the V3 API calls although it might need a new API key. The Google documentation has lots of links to non-existent pages, so it's rather frustrating working through it.
