Shall we add more subforums?
I think it would be less confusing if the SageTV Open Source forum is it's own main forum, instead of a sub forum of SageTV Customizations. It should be something like this:
SageTV Open Source Announcements Downloads General Discussions Customizations Development etc. This way, discussions regarding SageTV OS are more organized instead of the mess as is right now. * split to its own topic *

Yeah, I'm sure it'll be split up a bit going forward once there's more content to get a feel for what branches there needs to be.

+1 - especially for non-open source types who are getting their feet wet

I'm sure I'll move/split the open source forum at some point, but I also think that the existing forum sections can be used as they are currently organized for general purpose help using SageTV, related hardware, etc. We didn't create a new subforum for the Software section, for example, every time a new version was released and I don't see a need now to have all new subforums instead of re-using existing ones.
In my view, this forum currently has mixed content because it is all new, so there are a mixture of questions. At some point, that will start to fall under development discussions, usage help, and extensions. So, I guess I've been considering what types of subforums might be needed and am open to suggestions, of course. And, some of the beginner questions is what I was hoping to solve with an open source related FAQ topic... but apparently I haven't had time to organize that yet either. Hmmm... maybe I'll even move this discussion to a new topic. Andy

Nothing, and I mean nothing, has ever stopped Andy from moving posts around before, so I would guess he'll put it wherever he wants it.
