plugin download?

Unrelated to phoenix 3 (which looks awesome) I'm not able to download the Phoenix API any longer. Google code is depreciated so one one the dependencies isn't working. That isn't going to affect version 3 is it?

What plugin isn't downloading, because everything related Should have been moved to a new site already.

I thought so too. If I try to install the Phoenix API it fails due to needing the gson.jar that is apparently still pointed to google code.

Just wanted to say that this isn't the only one that isn't working. The old sage_mc jar won't download either. Some of my old plugins need that to run.

i am trying to download gemstone, which requires gson 1.7.1

that is still pointed to googlecode

looking at sagetvplugins, there are lots of references to googlecode.

I posted this just now in the Gemstone section. I think we'll start running across this a lot now. We may have to remove some of the older/depreciated plugins whose authors have moved on from sage. Not sure how we would go about doing that.

If the author has moved on we need to find somebody to assume ownership and then just send a message to Andy or Jeff and they can change the email address associated with the plugin.

Here's a quick fix. Right-click and download this file:

SageTVPluginsDev.xml

and drop this into your sagetv folder, and you should be able to install gemstone and other phoenix related plugins. This is a temporary fix for now until we can get the proper repository updated, but should get everyone back up and running.

In addition, v9 users should be able to download properly now, even without downloading that XML file, as the v9 repository has now been updated with the new locations. The above file should only be requires for v7 users.

as the this morning my v9 client still failed on gemstone. Trying your dev file

FYI, as of a few hours ago, the SageTVPlugins.xml file has been updated with the new google code file locations, so plugin installs should work fine without any specific Dev file hacks.
