FIXED!
so i installed wintv 7. It failed to launch, due to the HauppaugeTVServer Service being disabled (no idea why it was). I enabled the service, launched, did a channel scan (in wintv) , all is well 20 channels work fine. Back to sage, channel scan, works! So i am not sure if installin wintv7, or enabling the service, fixed it, but either way, im working!! Thanks to all for the troubleshooting assistance. Jeff
