Harmony 700 setup for SageTV?

Could someone please give me the dummy's version of setting up a Harmony 650/700 for SageTV?

I currently have a DIY media PC with an MCE remote and Microsoft MCE IR receiver. Last week I picked up a Harmony 700 on clearance for $40.

For SageTV, what do I use as the manufacturer and model # in the myHarmony software setup?

I noticed that if you put in frey as the manufacturer, there is an entry for "SageTV DVR", but there is a warning stating that it is a software only product and I need to specify my hardware. Do I need to use this, or should I just be trying to get the Harmony to emulate my MCE remote?

Thanks!

that's what I used, but it also took a couple of custom edits. Not many, but a couple. It works quite well actually. I used the Windows online logitech account to set it up. You've created an account with Logitech? I control my HTPC Sage server with a 700, which uses Hauppauge IR blasters and Firewire to control tuners

The MCE IR receiver will only work with a MCE remote, and it then works like a keyboard.

OK, I have the basic functionality working with the MCE IR receiver. The trick was putting in the model number of the MCE IR receiver (Microsoft A9O-00007) instead of just "MCE Remote"

It looks like all of the buttons are working except for "Home' and "Info".

Does anyone know how to get the home and info buttons working?

It is working now. I was able to map the "Info" button OK, but I couldn't figure out how to map the "Home" button.

I ended up just using the learn function to assign "Menu" on the Harmony to the big green button on the MCE remote.

Everything seems to be working OK now with the exception of some of the colored buttons which aren't doing anything, but I am OK with that.

In case anyone else is searching in the future, the Harmony 700 does work fine with the MCE IR receiver, but it is probably not as flexible as some of the other IR receivers that map to keyboard commands.

This KODI guide was pretty useful in debugging my remote problems:

Thanks everyone for the help!

Well, for sage, you are better off using an ir receiver that does NOT map to keyboard commands, like the usb-uirt. Something that will talk to sage directly, no matter what window has the focus.
