Import Video 0:00 Time Duration

Since v9 upgrade I have found some (maybe all?) of the new imports are showing 0:00 for duration. They play but unable to FF/RW since it will just go to one end or the other.

Where does Sage get the time duration for Imported videos?
If look at video via web interface, it shows duration as 0 minutes.

Currently not at machine, but will see if updating via web interface gets the FF/RW working again as a work around but need to determine root cause.

Also, have BMT installed if that may be playing a part

Are you running a Linux or Windows server? On Linux, it uses ffmpeg. If that doesn't run, it can't determine the video lengths.

Does Windows show the correct length for the media files when you view them on disk? The "Length" field shows the run time.

Have you tried rescanning the media libraries?

How about moving one of the files to another folder (not in the scan path) and then back again to see if it correctly does it then?

Resolved

After a bit of searching it eventually led me to SageTVTranscoder which for some reason was 0 bytes. Reran the SageTV Installer, coosing repair.

Then did the complete rescan and all is well now.
