Lost "video on top" option
I tried to install the Sage9 client on my WinXP box. After a couple of complete failures (installer crashed my entire PC), I redownloaded the installer and it seemed to work. But the client wouldn't run, complaining that it wanted Java 7 reinstalled (I think the install actually installed Java 7, based on the messages I watched as the install worked, and Control Panel shows Java 7 present). So, you can't actually get a new Java 7 to install, and I installed Java 8, which wasn't supposed to work on XP. Client now refused to run at all, so I took off Java 8. So now Placeshifter, presumably as a result of all that, no longer has a "video always on top" option. Any ideas on how to fix? Multiple reboots didn't do anything helpful.

You mean the right-click-on-the-title-bar feature? Maybe it is a Java v8 thing... it used to require java 1.5 or later and I see that the option is there on one PC using java 6, but not on another PC using v8.

Yes, that's the thing I mean. I uninstalled Java 8 (since it didn't help make the new Client work). I wonder if I should try uninstalling Java 7 (but if I do that, no "official" way to get it back if I need it in the future (Unless just backing up the folder for potential restoration if needed, or perhaps renaming the files therein would do the trick).

Is there a place to submit a feature request to get the new PlaceShifter to have this capability in newer Java versions?

Updating, in case anyone else has this issue:
Rather than uninstalling Java7 (though I did uninstall Sage Client, since I couldn't get it work on XP), I renamed the folder so it wouldn't be seen. Then PlaceShifter complained that it couldn't find a Java file, so I restored the original folder name. Ok, working again, but that informed me that something had decided that programs in general or PlaceShifter in particular, should look for Java in the JRE7 folder. So next I renamed the JRE7 folder again, then copied my JRE6 folder and renamed it JRE7. PlaceShifter is working again, and I have my "video on top" option back. I did find various utilities that can make windows always-on-top, but I prefer the built-in setup. And I still have my JRE7 stuff handy if I ever need it (not to mention the install files that Denali pointed me to.
