DVD ripping/ISO mounting/unmounting

ISO mouting/unmoutning - I was looking around at Daemon tools stuff, and I saw a program called Daemonscript. Basically it just outputs a really simple script(which could be generically generated very easily) with the file name/location and when you open it, it mounts the ISO for you. This seems like it would be an ideal tool for getting sage to handle ISO's really simply.

DVD ripping - I was also looking around DVDdecrypter's website (I had a lot of free time today) and I read a whole bunch of things on command line usage. Using that stuff I made a .bat file that will open DVDdecrypter, rip the DVD in the drive to a specified location, and close the program when it's done.

The entire .bat file looks like this....

"C:/Program Files/DVD Decrypter/DVDdecrypter.exe" /MODE ISOREAD /SRC E: /DEST D:/DVD_ISOs /Start /Close

How simple is that

These will definatly be the first two things I impliment when studio comes my way.

I haven't tried it, but why not just use IFO mode instead of ISO mode, then you won't need to mount them, just point your DVD player to the directory that the ripped files live? Seems like it'd be a step easier (and less work for you to do). DVD Decrypter works just as well with files as it does with ISO files.

I may try the demo of TT and see if it'll work that way..

*edit* Seems there's NOT a demo of TT, guess I'll try it with my NVDVD & WinDVD..

IFO mode works fine with Sage. I've ripped several DVDs myself this way and my children just select which movie to watch.

I have never gotten DVDDecryptor to rip IFOs that Sage can use. I use DVDShrink with compression turned off.
