JRiver Media Center?

viz: https://www.jriver.com/video.html

Never heard of it - but I haven't heard of much....

Truth-be-told, Sage is doing everything I could ever want - and about as well as I would ever want it to - but idle curiosity makes me post this.

Has anybody used JRiver?

Claims to fame?

I used it for about a year. The TV engine has gained a lot of ground in the last few years, but the 10' UI is lacking. Poor navigation was the biggest drawback. Fundamentally they provide a quite a bit of ability to customize how it looks, but I just couldn't ever get used to the menu navigation paradigm. SageTV is just a lot cleaner in how we get from one menu level to the next.

I'm using V-13 for my music files. I just prefer the layout and options. Also it has a plugin for G-Force. The music & the 'light show' are very soothing.

I use it everyday for music, it's pretty unbeatable for that. I was never really impressed with it's video or especially TV functionality.
