Updating Sage on Linux

I'm a newbie to Sage on Linux. How do you you folks do updates to Sage? Do you download the newer deb file and let the package manager install it or do you download the zip file and copy the files manually?

It would depend on how you installed sage... if you installed using .deb, the update using .deb. If you installed using .tgz, then update using .tgz.

Many, including myself, simply use docker on unRAID, which takes care of upgrading.
