I'm fairly certain spectrum still has the copy once flag in my area. I know TWC did before the takeover because I remember the sad day when my FireWire tuner quit working.

Same here. I have never seen any report that the old TWC system, now Spectrum, have revised their copy flags. Old Charter still seems to be fairly open, locking down only their premium channels.

I use FIOS by Verizon, no issues. I just can't tune in HBO channels.

I wonder if it is possible to put your capture cards on a separate PC and use that as a network streaming service to the Sage computer. I have no idea of someone makes software like that.

Sage does that out of the box. That's effectively the same thing as using a VM and is what im.doing right now to watch Xavier/Seton Hall on FS1 after about 30 minutes of fixing broken stuff. Working like a dream but it will die overnight. 2nd box would work fine but totally defeat my original purpose of reducing the power sucking boxes in my house. May be forced there but not yet

I don't think I've seen your thread on the Unraid forums so sorry if this is a suggestion you've already tried but have you tried the fix common problems "app" on Unraid? I believe there is a way to set it to pull diagnostics every 10 minutes or something so you can maybe capture what is going wrong and post it on the forums.

I think there is also a "safe mode" or something like that you can run that disables all plugins/vms/apps etc.

Not trying to sound like a dick and maybe you've already done this but it really sounds like you need to start all over with base hardware and get Unraid stable before trying to add any extra VMs, dockers, video cards etc. As you have probably seen in the forums I would suspect your situation is in the minority. I upgraded one of my servers to 6.4 and 6.4.1 so it only has 5 days of uptime. I haven't upgraded the other and it has 42 days of uptime. The last time Unraid was unstable for me it was due to lack of ram from 4.x to 6.x upgrade.

The only other thing I can think of is it sounds like you are you passing the tuners through to the Windows VM? Through the checkbox in the gui? I read in this thread that the tuners are looked at as USB devices. And I'm probably talking out of my arse here but maybe you need to pull them out of via the syslinux config? There is a video by spacedinvader describing how to do this with a USB card so maybe it is similar?

Again, sorry if this sounded curt but as you well know something is wrong with your setup. It may behoove you to get Unraid stable before adding anything on.

Yes, it is. The functionality is built into SageTV. My Colossus is in the livingroom (where the cable box is) running in the same Windows 7 PC my SageTV client does. Works suprisingly well. Meanwhile, on the other end of the house is the SageTV server...
