Has anyone had luck watching mpeg on an Apple Powerbook G4? When I do this via a shared folder, I get stutter using Quicktime (w/mpeg extension). I get stutter wired or wireless. This seems to be very touchy..ex. with a Sony Vaio and an 802.11a connection (turbo 108mbs) I would get stutter watching over a share..but SageClient worked fine. With an IBM Thinkpad, the network share was fine with 802.11b! Odd. The Powerbook is a no go either way..wired or wireless (802.11g).

SORRY.

I didn't see your laptop specs when I posted, so it was not my intension to dog it. (I'm not up on Centrino vs. P4 vs. etc.....) I was speaking simply based on the fact my other old laptop (not my 1 year old DELL 8500) is a P3, and it has issues streaming video.

It was all a misunderstanding. I'm sorry.

I did look at the specs and benchmarks, depending on what is a meaniful separation, they are pretty close! (Yours being faster of course!)
