DirecTV Receiver - Power Question

Hey I got a question:

What happenes if there is a power failuer and the power returns. Do the receivers power back on automatically, or do they stay powered off?

I'd greatly appreciate your input :-)

My DTV unit (Hughes Silver Edition) comes back on, but tunes itself to channel 100.

I solved the issue by plugging it into an uninterruptable power supply along with the HTPC.

This depends on the receiver. Some will come back as if nothing happened. Others will tune to 100. Others still come back to a setup menu.

If the receiver is out long enough, it might require a setup.

I too mitigate with a UPS.

I wanted to use the program on DTVcontrol.com to check the status of my receivers over the internet, but unfortunately I can only access the receiver on COM 1. Does anybody know who to configure the program so it accesses the receiver on COM 2?

Thanks a lot.
