Unhappy Problems going from 9.1.5 to 9.2.1

Windows 10 64-bit (v. 1809). Running 32-bit SageTV 9.1.5. I just installed the 9.2.1 x86 version using the Windows installer from BinTray. No errors during the install.
Rebooted.
The service will not start, either automatically or manually.
I also could not run Sage interactively. When I tried, I got this error: An exception occured in Java: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/vecmath/Matrix4f
I then went to Control Panel -> Programs and Features and performed a repair.
That improved things a little bit.The service still will not start.
The client will start but it does not recognize any of my tuners (Hauppauge dual tuner card).
The program is installed at C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV.
I am running Java 8.201
I am really at a loss. I do have a backup copy of the program folder.

Where do I go from here?

UPDATE:

I just realized I hadn't rebooted since I performed the repair.

Rebooted.

It's working again!
The service starts automatically. The interactive version runs fine and recognizes my tuners. I was able to get the new NWS/Darksky weather working. It didn't work with my 9.1.5 version. That's why I looked into upgrading to something more recent in the first place.

I'm not sure why I had to do a repair but I'm glad I tried it after rebooting the first time.

Disaster averted!
