Sporting event being recorded twice at the same time

I just noticed something weird. Tomorrow, and then again in a few days, I have some sporting events that SageTV will be recording twice, at the same time on different channels. There appear to be different Show IDs and Airing IDs. Is that why they will be recorded twice? Perhaps this will change before the game actually occurs?

Below is an example for a hockey game. I am getting the exact same situation for a basketball game a few days later. Anyone know why this would be happening?

I think your guess that the Show ID's are not identical is what is doing it. This makes SageTV see them as different shows. It thinks you want both of them. You can try to modify the favorite to include a channel number, or set not-liked on one of them. I do not know if an EPG update would correct the Show ID.

I fight with the opposite problem for 12 or 24-hour auto racing events, usually LeMans or Sebring. Velocity/Motortrend TV splits up the race into 4 shows of 6 hours (more or less). It has given the episodes the same Show ID and my favorites fail to record the entire race, unless I remember to go in and make it all a set of manual recordings.
