Directv IP Tuning on 64bit?
I tried installing the 64bit version this weekend but was unable to get Sage to recognize the DirecTVTuner.dll https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?p=476689&postcount=28. It was not showing up on the list of tuning options, no matter what I tried. Is this dll compatible with the 64bit version?
I also tried the alternate method of using the EXEMultiTunerPlugin was unable to get that approach to change any of the channels on my receivers. |

Have you tried Bob’s method outlined here? https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/sho...&postcount=183 You do not need the DLL from his .zip file since these instructions were from the 64-bit beta and the DLL is included in the released SageTV versions. Finally, if you’d like to try it I did make a 64-bit version of that HTTP tune DLL but with code I built from scratch. It has not been tested by anyone but it’s here if you want to give it a try: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b7wnftvfkf...Tuner.dll?dl=0

Thanks wnjj, your 64-bit DLL version worked perfectly! Incredibly helpful.
![]() I did spend several hours yesterday trying to get Bob's method working and for some reasons could not get it tuning anything. The IR files were all named and contained the correct IP addresses. The BAT file also had the correct IP addresses. The registry had the correct setting, all the other required files were present, and no firewall issues, so I am not exactly sure what the problem was. |

One thing I forgot about EXEMulti that has tripped some people up: You need to make sure the registry key permissions are set to full access. The code requests R/W access even though it really only needs to read the key.

I did a fresh install of Sage 64bit and the entry was there at install. Wouldn't that install the registry permissions properly? Or it there more to it? I did notice that when I added a dll or exe to the sage directory, Windows would add it as you would expect, but when you go to properties, it shows the file as being "blocked" because it was from another computer (I didn't realize Windows did that). But even then, I made sure all files were unblocked.

Regardless I’m glad you have it working. I should probably consider adding these DLL’s to the installer by default.
