Replacing HDHomerun Prime
So my Prime looks like it bit the dust due to lightning last night.
I'm ordering a new one. I use OpenDCT with it. When I get the new one will I have to start from scratch with OpenDCT in regards to adding it as new hardware? Then creating new lineups in Sagetv? Or if I plug it in and give it the same IP address as the old one should everything just work? I'm really hoping for the last one.

I believe you'll have to call your cable company to pair the cable card with the new Prime. Then I would add the new tuner (via OpenDCT) using the same lineup as the old Prime in SageTV, and eventually delete the original non-functioning tuner.
The pairing is probably the most fluid process. |
