slideshows went black after "service" started
I recently enabled the "service" on my windows 11 sagetv setup. Now my slideshows are all black. When I enabled the service, sagetv went through the configuration wizard, which took a while. It's possible that I changed something during that process, but I thought I set things correctly. We really enjoy seeing our family photos in sagetv, so it would be much appreciate if anyone has ideas for how to get that working again.
Thanks! |

Did you go to the photos menu and make sure Sage is looking in the correct folders?
By chance are your photos stored on a different PC or a NAS that Sage must access across the network? You may need to configure the Sage Service to log in to Windows using a username and password that has permission to access the folders where your photos are stored. You need to use the Sage Service Control Panel to configure the user and password.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I cannot see the photos when "browsing", either. The directories show up, and the photo filenames are listed, but the photos all show up as black. The service does log in with the only username and password on the machine, which is the same as what I use in windows explorer to go to the NAS directory where the photos are. I can see the photos fine in explorer, accessing them with the same Q:\nas\... path that is configured in sagetv for accessing them. I turned off the service, and the photos work fine. So it does seem to have something to do with the service accessing the photos. I remain stymied :-( Last edited by dhl; 01-16-2022 at 09:51 AM. |
