Initializing PVR-350

I read in another post somewhere here that the PVR-350 output works now through SageTV, but Jeff couldn't initialize the PVR-350 through SageTV. It also said that it is necessary to start the WinTV2000 application in order to initialize the card, and then run SageTV. Has there been any progress with that in getting it to work right within SageTV without relying on WinTV 2000? If so, how soon will it be out in a release?
