SageTV Client poor network performance

I just got done setting up my client on a Dell 5000e laptop PIII 650, 512mb ram. Everything works good except I only get 4-8% network usage on a 100mb network. The cpu usage is around 30% so I should have enough resources. When I copy files, I get like 25% - 40% network ussage. So I'm a little confused on why its so bad. I'm using Windows XP on both systems, going through a Belkin 3port 802.11b router (I'm not using wireless at the time). I've also tried other routers, hubs, and direct cable to the server. I've tried all my tricks to speed up the network, with no luck. Ofcourse XP seems like a monster anyway.

So if you have any ideas let me know.

Are you saying you're having some sort of playback problem? Because 4-8% of a 100Mbps LAN is just right considering recordings are only 4-8Mbps.
