Odd power management behavior on client
I've been experiencing some odd behavior on my client. I'll file a bug report if the board can't solve my problem.
I have my client displaying on a 27 inch monitor that has DPMS capability. Most of the time, Sage is the only app that's running and is displaying full screen. In my Windows XP Pro power management settings, I have the monitor set to power down after 1 minute of inactivity. Here's the wacky bit. If I tell Sage to sleep, it triggers the Sage screen saver for a minute, then the monitor powers down. This is the functionality I want, and it works fine. If, however, I simply leave Sage on the menu screen, something different happens. Sage is set to turn its screen saver on after 5 minutes of inactivity, so if I leave the menu on, the screen saver comes on 5 minutes later. What's odd is that the monitor does not then power down a minute after that -- it just stays on the screen saver permanently. Any clues? Any similar experiences? |
