Recording Everything. Auto delete?

Ok, I think I've come to terms with the fact that Sage record EVERYTHING that I watch. I come from a TV Wonder VE (eww!) background, using WinDVR, so I'm not really used to this. But, anyhow...

Is it really necessary for Sage to record every single bit of video even when I'm flipping through channels??

If I flip from Channel 1-22, I end up with 22 different files in my record directory... making a grand mess of everything.

Is this the way it's supposed to be?!

thank you.

d.

yes it is how sage works (otherwise how would you pause/rewind live TV?!),
yes (although most of us never even look in that directory, so these fragments are not noticable)
yes

Sage will clean up after itself sooner or later (depending on options set: the default is sooner, but if Intelligent Recording is enabled, it will only delete files when it needs some free space). Most people just give sage its own partition with a few 10's or 100's of Gb and forget about it!
