Is Radeon 7500 PCI with DVI output enough for SageTV?

I am thinking of getting a Radeon 7500 PCI version (note the PCI, NOT AGP) from a friend for really cheap.
Do you think this would be enough to run SageTV, LiveTV and Record Shows and playback DVDs?

I will be doing Overlay only, since my PC (Pentium III 1GHz) cannot handle the processing of VRM (RVM??)

Any limitations, disadvantages I will experience?

Thanks a lot in advance...

If you have one, it would probably be fine, but IMO don't buy anything that old. You can get a brand spaking new GeforceFX 5200 PCI for under $70.

PCI Radeon 9200s are about the same pricerange.

I started with the agp version of the AIW 7500 and had good results. Good luck with the DVI output, I had many problems. Don't let me discourage you from doing this but I feel I should give you fair warning. You must become aquainted with Powerstrip which can be tedious. I had great HD resolution when it was setup properly, however it was pretty quirky. For instance most of the time when I would turn the Toshiba on, the picture would be scrolled around where the top would be on the bottom and vice versa. I would have to turn the tv off/on several times to get it to display correctly. I was worried about damaging the $1200 television with the power cycling so I have backtracked to the s-video for now.

looks more like it is your tv that cannot lock and synch at those frequencies..
I am not sure if this could be due to the videio card..
did u try other cards?
