Audio out of Sync with ripped DVD playback
Video = Intervideo WinDvd 5.0
(using VMR9, 3D Acceleration) Audio Renderer = Prodigy 7.1 Audio Filter = Intervideo WinDvd 5.0 Using S/PDIF to my Denon receiver. Occasionally when skipping forward or backward while watching ripped dvd's, the audio and video become out of sync. Sometimes additional skips forward or back will resync them, but sometimes I have to playback the dvd from the beginning. This seems to be happening more with video based dvd's. So far all the movies we've played have been fine, but when playing back my ER Season One dvd's off the hdd, I encounter the sync problem. Also, noticed it with some music videos (No Doubt & some old 80's videos that were extras on a dvd). Looking at the sampling meter for my Prodigy, it was showing 48khz output while playing back ER. Not sure if reclock is what I need or if this is a Sage issue. I'm looking for fix and not a patch or workaround. Anyone have any clue as to what is happening or have advice on this issue? |

Well, despite not wanting to have to install more software on my HTPC, I went ahead and installed/configured Reclock 1.4. Easy enough setup and so far it appears to be working with all the problem dvd's mentioned above.

Well, day one went well after having installed Reclock. However, this morning, I encountered some stuttering/jitter on live tv playback (no problems with it at all yesterday and last night) and audio in/out of sync. I suspect I have to reconfigure Reclock or is it some new problem that has popped up? Whatever it is, it seems there is always something that needs fixing or tweaking.
