New client issue
I just bought the Asus Pundit -R and moved my Sage TV server with my three tuners and hard disks to the basement. The Pundit-R is an awsome box, I recommend it to anybody looking for a small, cool, and good looking client box.
I am running into one issue with my Client for Sage. Everytime XP boots up, Sage starts up in windowed mode. I have the advanced settings option set to full screen, and I have Sage running at full screen when I shut the box down, but no matter what, every time it comes up in windowed mode. Anybody have any ideas? Mike

I don't have anything installed other than Sage Client. Do you mean using a service utility like FireDaemon?

Here is how I fixed my "windowed" issue:
Launch sage client, set to full screen. Close with ALT-F4 Now re-launch, and VIOLA! full screen. To ensure that SageClient starts with windows afetr you do the above, drap its shortcut to the startup folder.

Mike,
The Pundit-R looks cool. Would you mind answering a few questions? If I understand the info on the Asus site, it has its own heatsink with a pipe to help keep it cool. Is this correct? What processor did you put in it? Does the Asus cooling solution work well? Have you measured the temps (idle & stressed). Is it still "quiet" when stressed? Which output are you using? (S-video, DVI, etc.) How do you rate the picture quality? Does this box work well with S3 standby? Thanks, Gary Last edited by garyc; 09-05-2004 at 01:53 AM. |
