Sage stopped working - corrupt dB?
I was hoping someone could help me out here... Sage 2.0.20 was working great until yesterday morning, when it suddenly locked up (just after it finished playing a recording). I killed the process and rebooted the machine, and upon restart, the UI shows, but Sage is either unresponsive or VERY slow. To enter the recordings menu takes about 2 minutes. I can forget even playing a show.
I also noticed that the "Upcoming Recordings" menu item on the Home page is blank... which I've never seen before. IR ALWAYS has something coming up to record. This leads me to suspect that a database might have been corrupted somehow? My wiz.bin file is about 5 MB which seems reasonable. Is there anything I can test? 5 reboots have changed nothing. Here are my specs: AMD 2500+ 512 MB DDR PVR-250-15 USB-UIRT WinXP Home Using Default video and audio decoders Thanks for any and all help! -Chris |

Check your device manager. I remember having issues where Sage would crawl if one of my tuners was acting up. Turned out to be a bad tuner. This was back when using 1.4.10 though. Worth checking out. See if you can watch TV with the regular WinTV application.
