How do you find out what Default equals?
I'd like to know what renderer, decoder, et cetera I am using, as everything is set to default. How do you determine what value default =?

As far as renderer goes, I believe the default is VMR7 in XP and Overlay in Win2k.
As far as the decoder goes, I believe that RadLight FilterManager may be your best bet. It will allow you to see the "merit" of each decoder. The one with the hightest merit would be the default. |

Thanks. I am using XP and the PVR-350. I'm just trying to tweak for the greatest possible picture. My default recording level is currently 1.8 DVD although I bump it up to 2.5gb/hour at times.

The simplest answer is to just not use it, unless you have some odd decoders, everything you have installed should appear as an option in Sage.
Otherwise to figure out default decoders, you can either play an MPEG in Windows Media Player and go to File->Properties, or drag an MPEG into graphedit. |

or use radlight filter manager
sometimes it takes a reboot though after changing the merit |
