Channel Setup

I have multiple channel's of the same name due to having different sources of EPG data, is there any way I can clear this list?

What do you mean by "clear this list"?

Perhaps I'm being dense, but I'm still not sure what you mean by "clear the list". What is/are the symptom/s of the problem?

Clear the duplicate channel entries, each entry corresponds to a different past epg data source, if it changes again I'm going to have trouble enabling the right channel, 2 of which will have no data.

Are you asking how can you setup SageTV so that it only has a channel assigned to one source.

If that is the case, you control this through the channel setup within the setup menu. For the source you want the channel recorded from, include. For the source you do not, deselect it.

In simple terms lets say I want to wipe the channels sage knows (cos they are duplicated and incorrect) and start again.

no, he means get rid of old channels in the setup wizard, which are no longer updated with EPG data

I have the same problem (I have 4 BBC1's in my guide!), and as far as I know, there is no way, apart from deleting wiz.bin, but you lose everything else then!

The reason they exist is because XMLTV generates a channel ID based on the XMLTV ID. Different data sources use different XMLTV IDs for the same channel, so you end up with multiple definitions of the same channel if you use multiple XMLTV data sources...

IIRC, I think the info is in the sage.properties file and you could certainly edit it manually (when SageTV is not running).
