Dual Display & forcing Sage into Other Display
Ok... I'm on a role here with the questions...
Previously I had sage automagically coming up in the correct display (I have an LCD monitor on 1 port & the prjector on the other) before I rebuilt my HTPC, since then I have not been able to get Sage to appear automagically in the dsiplay that is connected to the projector. Can someone tell me how I did this in the first place ?

IIRC, you just put Sage on the desired monitor (you may have to fullscreen it) and close it. It should then remember where to start.

I am having the same problem. SageTV will not remember which display I put it on. It always starts on the display 1, which is my monitor. I needs to start up on display 2, the TV.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Have you tried what I suggested above? If so, it may be a bug because AFAIK it's supposed to remember what monitor it was on.

It remembers the monitor it was on for me too. How are you exiting SageTV? Do you just let it die when the machine gets rebooted, or do you manually exit it -- one way is to put it to sleep, then right click on the icon & choose "Exit SageTV". It may need to go through a complete exit/restart cycle like that to remember your settings.

I sleep it, then right click on the icon --> "Exit Sage"
When I restart it, It starts on the 1st monitor. |

I've found it worked best to have sageTV in a window, move it to the correct monitor and then exit SageTV (Alt-F4). Then after you restart it you can make it full screen and it should come up full screen on the correct monitor the next time you restart it.

ATI AIW dual display
I am running an LCD monitor and an HDTV as 2nd monitor. I can get SAGE to work on either no problem, however, whenever it is on the 2nd monitor (TV) it makes the computer run very slow. Does anybody else have an AIW with 2 displays? If so, do you have the same problems.

I use overlay on either monitor w/o any slow-down, but I use an nvidia card & have been told that not all cards support using overlay on a second monitor. - Andy

overlay on 2nd
I have an AIW ATI 9800 Pro card. Would I be able to tweak it to use overlay on 2nd? Would this solve my problem?
