Using PVR350 tuner and svideo inputs
Hi
Is it actually possible to use both the tuner and the composite inputs on one PVR350 from SageTV? I can add another Source and specify thesvideo input, but that seems to delete the tuner source. Can I do it or am I stuck with terestial TV? (The Svideo is for a Digital TV box) |

Yes you can but you need to select a different provider from the list, for example, you'd pick the digital provider for the S-Video input and basic provider for the tuner input.

Problem Solved!
Forgot to say that as I'm in the UK I'm using XMLTV.
I've actually worked out what the problem is. When adding a new source I get the following sequence. 1. Pick the PVR card 2. choose the input on the device 3. pick the tuning option. 'External receiver' of 'dont configure tuning' (I'm Currently picking "dont configure" as I've nto got a USB-UIRT yet. 4. choose wether to use a programming guide or not. I have one so was choosing 'use programming guide' 5. Then chose either of the 'programmign guide providers' 6. entered a random zip code 7. picked the XML file that the XMLTV radio times produced. 8. enabled channels as required The problem is that I was using the same XML file to specify the channels. I thought I could just enable/disable the channels for each card. Turns out you need to use a differant xml file for each input as StageTV deletes any other source that uses the same file. I cured the problem by adding a copy of the xml file to the batch file that does the grabbing. |
