Confusing Functionality???

Wondering if anyone can explain this functionality...

Tonight I went to the TV Guide during the Major League Basball game (Yanks vs. BoSox) and hit record on the game (red outline of the show came up). I then looked at the recording schedule and saw that the MLB game was overlapped with favorite recordings. I went to the MLB game and hit "watch" to ensure it was recording...and started watching the game. I then hit "stop" and when I went back to the recording schedule the MLB recording was gone! Normally if I come into a favorite part way through live and watch the show .. and hit "stop" to check something else out, the recording isn't stopped.

Am I doing something wrong?

What do you mean by 'overlapped'?

I then hit "stop" and when I went back to the recording schedule the MLB recording was gone!

As happened in that other thread that mightyt referenced, perhaps the record button was hit again while you were watching it & thus the Manual Recording setting was cleared? Using the Stop command will cause live TV to stop recording, but it won't stop recording a scheduled show.
