Re-recording some shows that are in Archive!
WAF just noticed a glitch I don't believe appeared until installed v15. We have a bunch of previous seasons Stargates archived. Have Fav's set for 1st&-reruns since missed some espisodes. This evening noticed in current Sage recordings an espisode thought archived. Checked and sure enough it's in archives too. Archive recording from Sept 04 while new one recorded this month. Both had same title description orig' airdate EPG number etc. Wondered what would happen if archived the new recording so did. Weird, BOTH recordings of same epsisode now were in archive. Ok, deleted the oldest with "liked watched" and then checked to see what happened with the other one. It wasn't deleted but it WAS changed to watched!Bizarro.
Hadn't gone to v16 so did this evening. Will see if the glitch remains...

v16 killed v15 comskips!
Upgraded from v15 to v16 this evening. Noticed shows still showed icons as comskip etc. Popped into one and no purples? Watched and confirmed it didn't jump. Checked physical directory and comskip files were there. Tried running comskip (was an option even though CS icon lit) and finished in a heartbeat with 3 sections found etc. Went to watch and guess again. Still nogo.
No real biggy, manually deleted all the associated comskip files and running comskip over again on just under 1TB recorded stuff! (did *.txt etc searches of dir and select all, not totally manually )

I thought of that one a while back. That would be very cool (and useful). Probably a lot of work though.

Cayars -
I believe I posted about the bug with the mini-guide some time ago, but think you missed it. If the video is set for background, when you select a show from the EPG and it comes up with that channal full screen, then the mini-guide will have the current channel. However, if you have the video set for a preview window (instead of background), when you select a show from the EPG it first comes up in the preview window (upper right). Then you hit OK/select again to get it to display full screen. In this situation the mini-guide will start out at the lowest channel instead of the current channel. Think it looses the current channel info when using a preview window because of having to select the show twice from the EPG to get to full screen. Hope this makes a bit more sense to you for describing the problem. Dont' know if you can actually work around it or not though. |

On the Client I also changed the external player to PowerDVD and all of a sudden, I get no liveTV. I can goto veiw tv and it works. But when I try to click on something from livetv guide, sage minimizes and nothing happens.
EDIT: After a reboot the first time I try to open tv from the guide, it opens up PowerDVD, but this just happens the fuirst time. And obviously livetv won't work with PowerDVD Also, when I Use PowerDVD and open a video from Sage and try to use the remote to FF or RW the video stops playing? I don't know anything about how you have your remote setup to work with PowerDVD but this will need to be setup outside of Sage using the hauppauge software or with Girder or by some other means. SageTV/Cayars STV isn't going to control your 3rd party application. |

Remote issue: When not using the STV it works fine. When opening a file in powerdvd outside of Sage it works fine as well. The only time it does this odd behavior is when I open a file from sage into PowerDVD.
The LiveTV guide works fine on the server, just not on my Client. Last edited by dvd_maniac; 12-30-2004 at 09:58 AM. |

I found something else that is not working as expected. I cannot select back to back shows to record while browsing the Main guide. I have 1 min default padding setup before and after each favorite. I also have selected to remove padding on back to back recordings. This setting doesn't seem to work in this situation.
