CC support, please!

I know its not supported, but I can't get the CC's NOT to show. I have a bunch of recordings that i manually generated closed captions for using mpg2srt and when i watch a few of them with 2.1, I can't get them not to show CC. There is no option that i can find that asks to toggle CC either. any help would be necessary.

Also, this behavior happned for both the original STV and cayer's new STV. With cayer's i could toggle the old CC's (small, white on black) but not these new, bigger, white on transparent CC's.

There was/is a problem where sometimes a DVD would always show subtitles when the decoder was set to default, instead of specifying the decoder to use. I wonder if this could be something similar.... so, what do you have as your MPEG2 Video Decoder Filter, under the Video tab of Detailed Setup?

Have you checked the last page of the 2.1 manual: is the cc_option_enabled property set to true? If it is false, perhaps try setting it to true and then using the Options command while playing a video to see if you now see an option to turn off CC.

i have the new nvidia dvd decoder. I did have it set to false but after changing it to true (and exiting everything when i changed it) i am having the same problem

EDIT: Actually I don't have a cc_option _enabled property. Just a malore cc option. hmm.

EDIT2: I think this migth be some sort of bug. I keep on trying to add cc_option_enabled=true into the sage.properties file (with everything closed) and as soon as i open sage again it disappears. Does everybody else actually have a cc_option_enabled property?

If you are using the service mode in 2.1 this should be set in sageclient.properties.

I was in services mode and it was in the client properties file. Once I turned it on, I got an extra setting of CC that I could toggle from the options screen.

BUT, The problem is that it toggled a different set of CC's. I bet if I just delete all SMI's and SRT files in my video directory then it will work. But i shouldn't have to do this.

EDIT: I just realized that its the SRT files AND the SMI files that contribute to this problem. I just deleted all of them.
