Gyration MCE Remote and Keyboard
I love my Gyration MCE Remote and have been using it with XP MCE and love it. My problem is that I'm a recent SageTV Convert (uses way less resources, way more customizable, etc...) does anyone have any idea how to map my buttons on my gyration MCE Remote to work in Sage TV??? Any help would be greatlly appreciated.

If it sends commands the way the MS MCE remote does, then SageTV 2.1 will recognize most of the commands. If you check this MS page, you can see a list of the MCE remote commands. SageTV v2.1 will recognize everything but the WM_INPUT style commands. (Perhaps they will be added sometime in the future?) The 2.1 manual lists the WM_APPCOMMAND messages that SageTV will respond to.
2.0 does not recognize these commands. - Andy

I dont think it uses commands like a regular MCE Remote, it is an RF based remote. See http://www.gyration.com/mcrsuite.htm. Other than maybe a Girder plugin, which I havent been able to find as of yet, Im clueless.

Whether it is RF or IR isn't really the point -- what's important is how it sends commands to a Windows app. From the looks of it, it sends the MCE style commands I pointed to above, so my _guess_ is that it would (mostly, if not completely) function with SageTV version 2.1.
I have a gyration mouse + compact keyboard. The keyboard's multimedia keys work when using 2.1. - Andy

No Dice, my remote buttons that work are the mute button, vol button, and sleep button. the buttons for DVD control (<<, >>, pause, play, stop) dont work, nor does the channel button, guide button, or the media center button (would like this to open sage tv).

You tried this with the 2.1 beta? If so, then maybe it is sending commands a different way than the MCE remote. The MCE WM_APPCOMMAND messages to control the channel should have worked if those were the comamnds it used. Is there a way to configure what each button does?
