TV-OUT Jitters

When my TVOUT displays video (recorded with SageTV)
I get a blur/jitter when there is fast motion. Someone
waving hands, or quick pans.It looks very "digital"....
When I record to DVD it is fine.

I am wondering if there is a way to smooth that out.
I heard some comments about using certain plug ins ... but
I don't know what it means (3:2 pulldown, fshow, etc...)

Here is my Setup:

WinXP (w/SP2)
SageTV 2.0x
P4 2.4 Ghz.
1 GB RAM
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro (TV Out through SVIDEO)
HD set to 64k blocks

ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Tom

Sounds like a deinterlacing problem (www.100fps.com for examples)

What MPEG2 video decoder are you using, and if you can, set deinterlacing to Bob or Auto mode

VMR9 rendering looks smoother as well than overlay
but it does appear to decrease the sharpness of the picture

nvidia DVD decoder tends to make the best use of VMR9 as well as deinterlaces much better than most decoders like intervideo
