Are the decoders totally new?

Would it be worth trying them out? The old ones were pants!

The powerDVD6 decoders look pretty decent in Sage! There is also not the jumping/fram dropping that I have experienced with the NVDVD decoders. Even the stutterring that occurrs when you FF/RW with VMR9 seems to have gone.

too bad you can get easy access to the pixel adaptive deinterlacing outside of the PowerDVD player
probably stupid regustry hacks which I do not know

also I can get the stuttering bug with it
although it is not as shakey as nvidia's or sonic's when it happens

those decoders are also known to deinterlace the best

try fast fowarding a few times then watch the video
fast foward a few times and watch
you will see it eventually......

its a directx problem. theres a thread running on this at htpcnews or avsforum that helped me out with this. even if you are running sp2 directx 9c can be successfully uninstalled with this program http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4347.html and having the directx 9.0b full installer available here http://www.msfn.org/win2k3/directx.htm Keep in mind it is very important that you have the full installer before you uninstall it as some modem do use some parts of directx to operate properly. You'll probably want to disable sage from running too if you have it set to start on startup while installing 9b too to keep it from getting in the way.
