Live picture/recording quality setting
Okay, sorry for this incredibly n00b question, but got SageTV recently and I'm having trouble figuring something out.
Does changing the Multimedia>Recording Quality setting affect the quality when watching live TV? Or is that always at full quality regardless of the recording quality setting? I suppose I'd like to record some shows, but record them at SVCD quality, while watching the show, at full quality... is this what happens? And along that same line then... if I set the Multimedia>Recording Quality setting to SVCD, does that become the "default quality" setting that is default for favorites/recorded shows? Or does that mean thats the quality you view live tv at? Lastly, how is the paused live TV affected? Thanks for any help, much appreciated! |

See p. 24 of the v2.1 manual for info on what live TV really is: recorded shows played back at the same time they are recording. See p. 133 of the manual for info on setting the default recording quality & what that affects. You can specify the recording quality for any Favorite or Manual Recording. Those w/o a rate specified use the default rate. - Andy
