any chances of altering the graphics in sage without studio? studio users please read

I have done lots of reading all over this forum, first I start looking for an answer to a question brewing in my mind, then I find something else interesting so I research that new topic to death... only to find something else that is "neato mosquito" and blah blah blah blah blah...

So I see lots of cool STVs out there and I have used a few of them and even "customized" them to my own liking (love the xml menus, wrs, etc.) BUT I wanted to know something...

When you go hovering over menu options in SageTV's UI and the buttons change focus, is this a "hot spot" setup where the UI thinks "hey the mouse is hovering over this area so I need to change focus and highlight this menu item's button" or is it that the "hidden" button is told to gain focus because the mouse pointer "touched" the actual graphic into a focused stated? Just wondering...

What I'm getting at is.... is there a way that one of you Studio users can do a similar thing like the customizable xml menus, but do it with the graphics part of the UI? I really wish that I could change the buttons to a look that I want (color, shape, size, etc.)

I know you can change backgrounds, sagetv logo, fonts, menu items etc. but the option of changing the graphics part is missing (or am I missing something) A for instance would be to change the button color to reflect a gradient from left to right and to change the button's beveled end into a round tip instead of the beveled square tip.... another would be the ability to change the transparency of certain fields in the UI...

Any info will help, thanks!

In some cases, the 'highlight' is graphics primitives (such as the outline around a highlighted item in popup options menus or the change in bkground color of highlighted TV guide items/recordings) which are not changeable outside of Studio.

In other cases, the 'highlight' is a png image (light blue bar with rounded right edges) used as a background (such as in main menu, and in the sidebar menus of the detailed information screens, and detailed setup). These of course can be modified: SageTV/STVs/OriginalV2: newInfoBar.png and newMenuBar.png

Transparancy cannot be modified outside of Studio.
