Hauppage drivers new?
I was at the Hauppage site today to see about new drivers for my 350. Low and behold I saw that they were updated from what I had on my PC which has a date of 9/24?? I think. The Hauppage site has Oct. 18, 2004. I followed the update using HWCLEAR and such and then installed the drivers and went back and saw that the date wasn't 10/18, but still the September date? ARe these the most recent drivers? If not how come mine didn't update.
Thanks Chris |

Most likely, they just updated a file, not the drivers. They do this alot. You still benefit from newer drivers, they just don't reflect the date you see on their site.

I've notice in the past that Hauppauges web site isn't always accurate in what they post. Sometimes there are newer drivers there, but they don't change the date on the web site. Other times the download file may be older than what the website says.
If you want the very newest Hauppauge drivers, I'd recommend going to www.shspvr.com Just be aware that sometimes the drivers there are so new they may still be beta releases. There's also a forum there specifically for Hauppauge device users, so for anything relating to Hauppauge devices that's probably the best place to go looking for answers and drivers.
