DVD Playing

I installed a PVR-150 and fixed a memory problem on my system (now I have PVR-250, PVR-150, 2.4 GHz and 330 GB Disk. When I play DVDs on the Beta 2.2.2, two things are happening that I don't like.

1. On the DVD Menu (graphics, the highlights don't show up--I can't tell what OK is going to push)

2. I had trouble earlier getting it to display on my Video and TV at the sametime (NVidia 5500 card). Now it displays for TV, Slideshows, imported movies and sage movies on both screens, but the DVD only displays on the Video (HD15) adapter, not on the TV. Any ideas? I switch to VMR9 decoding and sageTV locks up. (have to use taskmgr to kill it).

Thanks,

Brian

dscaler5 gives a black screen with overlay.

the easiest way to play dvd's in sage is to use anydvd and let it strip all the crap so that playing a dvd is literally drop and play.

I have never had this work for me. I finally gave up and just dug out my mouse to select things in DVD screens. Annoying as heck. It's the only time I ever have to use my mouse for my HTPC.

Same issue for me with DVD menus. Luckily with most DVDs if you keep pressing enter ("OK" on my firefly remote) you usually default to just starting the main movie.

This guy solved his own problem by disabling hardware acceleration. I haven't tried it yet, but interesting...
