to get CD playback included in the sage interface?

can the play dvd section be tweaked to allow cd playback too? it's not very often that i have a need to play cd's in sage but it does happen and usually when a friend says "quick play this"

those boys need to pay more attention to the stv's because they are coming along leaps and bounds now but they have no bearing over core issues and cd playback is a core item.

my 2 biggest core wishes are cd playback and renderless playback of vmr9 video.
